with a decent truck puller motor or similar, either tranny will give you bags of torque so it comes down to your preferred speed in top gear and how you plan your AWD conversion. Transfer box after the tranny should work with either conversion you mention. Remember though that dual motor will require big Amps so will run the battery down really fast - and with that in mind choose the ESC wisely!
One of the 'simplest' AWD conversions I saw had a planetary gear reduction between motor and gearbox, then the gearbox lower shaft extended out of the front and rear of the gearbox for drive to axles.
Note that the Globe has very limited space between the back of the gearbox and first rear axle (less space than any other truck I think), might be a consideration with your transmission set-up
