Re: Lucky to be alive
Thats a scary site... living and driving a tractor trailer in New Jersey n New York it makes me feel like its not if im gonna have an accident or wreck but when. My old man drove for almost 40 years before he died, he jad one wreck in his career. He made the choice to roll the truck down a steep revine off route 80, instrad of running over the top of the station wagon that cut out infront of him in the pouring rain simply because he seen a child hoping around in tbe rear of the station wagon playing (obviously this was before car seats were mandated). He survived with a broken arm, but the company truck he was driving at the time was wrecked. He told me many times it felt like time slowed down n he had plenty of time to make the consious decision, even tho it was actually all in a split second... people have no clue about the requirement a truck needs to stop or swerve. They think we can just stop on a dime, n they sure as **** test that theory way too often as well... I hope the driver of this wrecks ok.
