Talking Project TOP GUN..

Well been hiding a little but still been building just been short on time for posting so here is one of 4 projects going right now the other will be posted soon as I can. But here is a rig I am building for a very close friend of mine he and I have done many deals and he came to me with a distance vision and wanted me to fill in the blanks so here we go..

Now I am also going to be doing the next 4 builds to showcase some of the great custom parts that independent custom parts builders are building out there and show off there great work I am going to try to use as many of them as I can might not use them all but most of them..

I started with the best base you can start with and that is Freddy's Frame Rails. These things are so perfect I could not ask for anymore..

Then I tapered the end of the rails..

Next 3 of Freddy's CNC milled frame Cross Members. Now I bought the undrilled ones and I went with one hole in the center instead of 2.

So the CCE freight dropped off a pallet of suspension Dream Weaver Custom Parts. Got enuff shocks for 3 twin screw trucks and 2 sets of front break boosters and I have more on order..These are great scale hand built shocks out of brass you have to see them in your hands..

Ok so time to build the front. I went with Mier alum Steering Blocks up front with the Dream Weaver Shocks and Break Boosters.

I'll get a picks of the boosters mounted Monday night.

Here are the rear shocks mounted..And if you look close you will see I have added a extra short leaf to the top of the stack. This rig is going to be a working show baby

On to the drive line. I made up a nice little drive shaft to replace that crappy little dog bone that comes with the truck kits..

Now since on a real truck you are not allowed to have a drive shaft longer than 60" this truck will need 2 drive shafts so I built some longer scale shafts instead of cobbling stock ones together. So here is the rear one built and installed with a Mier alum hanger bearing.

So that is where I am tonight Ill post more tomorrow night.
