So I had a little incident the last time out with the Euc and Volvo. I swapped out the 540 motor for a slower more powerful 550 in the Euc which I was very happy with. The speed was more realistic and the increased torque was great. The problem is that I have the mentality that if it "can do it" then it must be OK. Because the truck has more power and my Volvo is working good I started loading heavier and heavier loads so something had to give. The original diff that I built was a solid axle with aluminum Diawa spin casting reel gears so it bit the dust.
So.... I figured this was a good excuse to use my mill for the first time... As it turns out though most of the parts have been made on the lathe so far
.I do have a lot of parts to make yet though so I'm sure I will use it on the pinion carrier and such..
Thanks for looking!
