Default FINISHING TOUCHES ON CLEAR COAT?

So I've been masking a painting a body for a couple weeks now. I've wet sanded a few times during the process to assure a smooth surface. Now I'm in the home stretch with clear coat. I've had some bodies painted with automotive clear and I know its a good bit thicker and harder so I wouldn't be so nervous with a final wet sand on them. I decided to paint this body myself so I used Tamiya clear. I really don't want to be too aggressive sanding the body after all the time I've put into it. Does anyone have any suggestions for the final touch. Maybe use some Maguire's ultimate compound instead of sandpaper? Also I would like to clear over some vinyl stickers but I'm not sure if the Tamiya clear would eat the decal. Any feedback is appreciated.
