Default Re: Chinese Liebherr 956 & Volvo EC 210BLC

There are more and more Chinese suppliers showing up every year, more competition is great, machines getting better and more details. These two machines must be the most detailed from the East so far. Say in 5 years, the chinese will give the Germans serious competition, things are going quick in China, there are more and more Chinese getting in the hobby as the middle class grows fast over there, and they will demand better and better models. Cabs and motor hoods looks great. The rotating grab, amazing in this price class. Don't like the screws showing on the arm and undercarrige, gives a cheap impression. Naturally one can use putty, and repaint, but thats a huge job. Tells us that aluminium plates (?) likly are used, similar solution as on the far less detailed 'KAT' machines that did came to the marked some 3 years ago, which where was kind of not heavy enough.
I'm familar with the Libherr 954, also at aliexpress at less than 2000 usd. Don't have the grab naturally, and less detailed cab, less organized under the hood, more square motor hood than the original. Big advantage with that machine is that it is all steel, not a single screw, all welded (hidden welds). More realistic looking undercarriage. the correct weight to the scale, 18 kg. The chinese are good at fabricating fine parts for these RC models now, but when it comes assembly and finetunig, they are not quite there yet IMO. (much to do with maximaze profit, put it all together quickly, and that job might in many cases not being done by 'enthusiasts', as in Germany) E.g using threaded rods in the main link of boom and dipper, that will quickly eat into the material and give even more play, and so on. This is for the 954, which become a good working machine after putting in a couple of working days of minor modifications and finetuning. About this new 946 and Volvo, I don't know, hydraulics and electronics are the same as several other are using probably, but my guess is that some less or more work and 'finetuning' is needed to get them going well over a period of time. But, hey, that's a part of the hobby, and one get more knowledge about the machines, learning to be your own mechanic
