I don't know if you can get these up there, but I have a Sur-line that is about 20years old and it still gives me great service. You can also get a Verticle mill made by them and the add on parts don't ever seem to end. You can even get these in CNC version. Not expensive at all and easy to carry around and small enough to use in an apartment, I know I done it once all ready. These lathes and mills are so accurate and popular there is annual completion with them. They are on the internet.
