It sounds as though it's all reigonal, but generally Trailer Lengths up to the 1950s were 22-26 feet, up to 40 feet was allowed on highways after 1956
Then 34-36 feet in the 1960s
Then 45 feet in mid 1970s
Then 46-48 feet in the 1980s
Then up to 53 feet in the 1990s

Widths limited to 96" until the 1980s with 102" after
Height 12'6" bumped up to fon 13'6" interstate travel. (Not fogetting local restrictions such as the infamous 11'8" bridge.)

Anyway, i had a work thing send me to Jax FL, and over about a block from a beach i found a little Woody Wagon. Maybe like a 1949-50 ford, no title, surfer neglect... but i thought my dad could use an old project. (Reminded me way WAY too much of an old model kit 1949 Mercury wagon he was really proud of building.) Had to get the old "rent a truck" and a trailer to drag it back here since the Car Hauler isn't ready.

Steal chassis from 'Doms charger' / 'MadMax 2 Pursuit Special ' + a set of structo/nylint/tonka hubcaps since nobody makes steelies

Calling it a 1950 ford 'Custom DeLux Wagon' or 'Country Squire Wagon'
