Mike, soldering with flame is not always user friendly. Like you stated, there is much potential frustration. Its taken years to learn to solder, select the solders, and fluxes which work for me, and figure out clamping and assembly techniques to minimize the cussing. It doesn't always work though and I still get my share of stuff falling apart, moving, imploding, etc, etc!
I still have some major solder cleanup and "body work" as I'm closer to getting the chassis ready for paint.
