These are the ESC's that I used. Very cheap and do the job just fine. There may be better deals out there but I was happy enough with them.

I used 25mm gear motors. I have 133rpm motors installed it now but only because I had them for something else. Of course they were stolen from project A to complete project B
. I will put lower geared motors in this soon but I won't go with really low geared ones because they don't stand up even though the speed would be better. These motors are definitely too fast but will stall under load. The lower geared units often strip gears before they will stall which is no fun.
