Default Re: Capo 1:8 Jeep CD15823

Put some more time in on this. More wiring... Ugh.... Racked my brain a bit to figure out how to mount the Heyok light controller. Great controllers, but a bit hard to mount in this type of build. Heres my attempt. Started with some styrene.

Then I made some more wire chases to feed the lighting wires up behind the dash.

Had to cut a notch out of the bottom of the dash to receive the wire chases.

While I was at it, I decided to change up how the dash mounts. Originally mounted with 2- m3 screws, but these are pretty much inaccessible after all the electronics are in. Seeing how the dash will need to come out in order to remove the body, due to some electronics being concealed there, and some plugs that will need to be disconnected, I swapped in some Tamiya body mounts instead. The pins can be pulled from underneath.

It mounts up perfect, nice and tight.

Can see the wire chases up into the dash.

Started to wire up the front lights.

And out of time for tonight.
