After the carson lift flop with my full frame trailer I decided to build a R model dump truck. It will be all business just like the old Mack's were. This is based off a early R model in the 66'-72' short cab model. It will have the old square fuel tanks and a straight stack. I started building a cab visor and battery boxes and should have the fuel tanks done tomorrow. Another mod will be adding a few heavy leafs in the rear springs to support the weight of a good load of dirt.
Built on a king hauler frame, front axel moved forward, motor and trans relocated forward over the servos, I used the Carson lift and motor placed in the frame center where the esc and RX will also live. I used a rc4wd driveshaft end to connect the lift motor and screw drive. The battery will live under the hood/cab where it can be easily accessed as the cab and hood pivot up and out of the way at the front bumper. Rc4wd budd rims for now but may switch over to spokes.
