Progress has been slow during the summer. Lots of other distractions. But I managed to work on the boom. After a few trials the best solution was 26 gauge galvanized steel soldered together. It worked surprisingly well. I have a good brake, which makes it easy, but precision is important. I filed the pieces exactly straight, then did some trails to get the measurements right before bending the 2 halves of each section and joining them together. One more section to go then I can install the mechanics.
