Witch is better?
Hi Guy's and Gal's , I'm building a Bruder big dozer and I was wondering what the pros and cons to witch is better, liner actuators, or hydraulic cylinders ?
I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks. |

Re: Witch is better?
That's a rough question, a lot depends on your expectations for the machine when finished.
I started a Bruder conversion then shelved it when I had the chance to buy an Izzy Built dozer. From having started a conversion, I would suggest staying with linear actuators. Actuators are larger than hyd cylinders and mounted out front on the Bruder won't look exactly scale, but there are no pumps or valves and no leaks. My all metal Izzy Built uses an actuator for blade lift and it lifts a 5lb+ blade assembly quite nicely. Search through the forum and you'll find several conversions to compare. Good luck with your conversion and please post pictures as you progress. |

Thanks Mustang, good things to think about. Yes I will post picks as it comes together.

Re: Witch is better?
The bonus of hyds is both power & speed, but with a plastic Bruder conversion you just need speed & the linear actuator will do that for you. If you're using the Firgelli's, go with the quickest ratio.
