single speed metal tranny question
Just received my metal tranny from Rc channel. Now that I have one speed my globe liner does not want to move but when I move my stick to my now vacant ch.3 which used to control my shifting the trucks speeds up . I cannot go into reverse smoothly like I used to. I have an lrp 3 motor but cannot figure out what is going on. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

Re: single speed metal tranny question
try re-calibrating the MFU?
although the change of tranny should have no impact on the MFU/ motor function. One thing to note though - the MFU changes the power to the motor depending on which gear it thinks you are in (in addition to the coupler switch function which does something similar in 1st gear). So even with a single speed tranny, as you move the stick from a 1st gear position through to a 3rd gear position at constant throttle, the motor speeds up a bit. |

Re: single speed metal tranny question
It happens just like you described. I have switched back to my 3spd with upgraded gears and will save my single speed tranny for another build. Thanks for the insight.
