That is some fine craftsmanship, Ulrich! I remember seeing this project on another forum. Good to see your work here as well.

thanks for the comment. I´ve presented the model in the gardentrucking board before it was shut down and of courde in some boards over here in germany. Currently the first final parts of the second trailer in alloy are assembled. I hope I can post some pics soon. Furthermore I found a brass chain small enough to copy the original mechanism 1/1. Currently a steel roller chain is doing it´s work. bye Ulrich |

Hey Ulrich, nice to see that you found your way to the new harbour .
All the movements of the trailers are looking good. I there no end switch for the sliding fitht wheel? Where did you found that brass chain? |

Re: Kenworth w EasyLoader Roadtrain
Good Morning folks,
sorry for the delayed answer, but it´s kinda hectic before the holidays. I just can´t get any spare time. If I´ll ever meet the wise guy who said "better to much work than none", I´ll have some serious words with him ... Once again thanks for the kind words. Some weeks ago the first aloy parts of the second trailer arrived. They´re already assembled and got the first coat of paint to see how the chosen colour looks. Here´s the only pic I´ve got right now. I hope I´ll be able to post some more after xmas. @Lorenzo: At the moment there´s no end-switch. The chain is stored on springs, so there´s no possibility of damaging the motor. At the end I´ll install one for sure. The brass chain I found here. http://www.steba.org/elkat/ The first tests were OK. I´ve produced a "haspelrad" for it, just like the original. I´ll post a pic soon. Still I´m not sure if the chain can handle the weight without bending. bye Ulrich |

Re: Kenworth w EasyLoader Roadtrain
Good morning folks and a happy new year.
During the holidays I was able to spent some time in the workshop. Anyhow I concentrated on my wheel excavator, I still managed to work a little bit on the easyloader. Here some pics of the barenaked frame of the second trailer. The colour doesn´t look that good on the pics. In realitiy it´s carmine red, a lot darker. @Tim: Thanks for the kind words. The first plan was to build the triple. I also was fascinated by that vid you posted. During work progress I kinda doubted that the mechanism of the first trailer could lift the two stacked other ones. Now that I see how light the frame of aloy is I´m getting my hopes up to manage the triple. But first let´s finish these guys... bye Ulrich Last edited by Ulrich; 01-11-2011 at 01:49 AM. |

Re: Kenworth w EasyLoader Roadtrain
And here some pics of the newly planed motor/chain and how it looks at the original.
The motor is mounted verticaly in the front of the trailer. I´ll keep you updated on this one. bye Ulrich |

Re: Kenworth w EasyLoader Roadtrain
Hi Stuff,
thanx. Here´s a pic of the suspension system. It´s the one I use on all my trailers. It kinda looks like an air suspension if properly painted. The swing itself varies from trailer to trailer. You can see it on the loaded second trailer. By using diferent spürings you can adjust to the expected load of the trailer. bye Ulrich |

I seen this truck on youtube about a month ago, and I very impressed.
Excellent build I do have a question, where did you get the wheels? Thanx, Big John
