Re: New Project!
I will take a wild guess.
From the looks of the tires and the fact that the rims have only 8 lugs holding them to the hubs, I would say it is going to be a bobcat type of loader. With those tires and anything larger, there would have to be more lugs nuts/bolts holding the rims to the hubs. Now you have my 2 cents worth. BTW I hate secrets...LOL |

Re: New Project!
Not sure what it's going to be yet, but nice machining job on the wheels/hubs. Where'd you get those motors if you don't mind me asking?

Re: New Project!
OK, Stu, I guess you're building a CAT 938G wheel loader. The clues given by the tires and articulated steering lead me to this conclusion.
Forgive me if I'm wrong. - RCT

Re: New Project!
Has to be some sort of 4x4 tractor...unless he's throwing us off the scent by placing it in the farm tractor section...

So here goes, this is what its (hopefully!) going to be: Wait for it... A JD 9530 My Mum & Dad bought it me for xmas and said it was ok because it had Age 3+ on the box LOL! I was saving up for the MFZ Blocher kit http://mfz-blocher.de/jd_knicklenker_bilder_g.html for the conversion but blew the money on my Bridgeport mill instead so decided to give it ago by myself. This weekends work: I want to try and gain a little more ground clearance and replace the button heads with some counter sunk ones instead. Thanks for looking Stu |
