Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
Wow that turned out really well. You should try to get the hood to butt up with the cab. This thing should be a beast though. Also I like the yellow but the olive drab would look cool too.

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
Sorry,
The tracks are from PREMACON. Thats what happens when I do two many things at the same time.

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
How much downforce does your ripper have? Looks pretty solid and tough id imagine it would do pretty good?

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
The ripper digs in pretty good. However, the model only weighs about 15 lbs, so no hard dirt.

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
I realize this is an old post, but I just came across it. I just recently found out that Mitch past away about a year and a half ago. I had the great honor of meeting him when I bought his 966 from him a few months before he past away. When I picked up my 966 he showed me his collection of RC models, this dozer, his Carson crawler loader, his Scaleart 963 crawler loader and his other 966 loader he turned into a wheeled dozer, these pictures don't do them justice. They all were amazing, I wish I would have been able to buy them all. The model community lost a great guy, he made some amazing models, I am thankful I was able to meet before he past away, he will be missed!

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
Yes Sir, Mitch was a highly skilled builder, very knowledgeable & a dear friend to me as well.
The last I spoke to Mitch was in January 2014, he told me about him discovering a lump on his neck in the summer of '13, did treatment right away, but chemo didn't cure it all... he was then scheduled to do stem cell replacement in April of '14... I said I would call him in March to catch up before he went in, but no answer.... it wasn't till June of this yr before I found his obituary online... bummer. http://www.lindquistmortuary.com/not...tchell-Mignano The last time I had a meet with Mitch was early May of 2012, we met for supper in Helena, Montana. And the next day I was on my home with one of his Scale Art 963's.

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
I am sorry to hear Mitch passed too. He was a great guy. I talked with Mitch to make the deal when he sold this Dozer to Adam. Mitch even gave Adam all of the stock parts from the dozer and a bunch of other parts for free that worth well over a few hundred dollars. I told Him that i would make some nice videos for him of his machine pushing dirt and this is one of them. Rest in Peace Mitch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYq1ehlhNCw I will add his name to the videos of his dozer working too.

Re: Modified Stahl Dozer
RIP Mitch. I will certainly miss you. How imperceptive we can be! He called me out of the blue, asked a few medical question on the topic above but I never put two and two together. Then again, Mitch had a good medical background and sometimes we got off the model discussion and talked a bit of emergency flight medicine, so it wasn't totally from left field. But to now hear the news, it is so crystal clear to understand the reason behind the questions! I also understand why my calls were not returned, I just equated it to Mitch moving again and figured I'd get a call in a few months but, the call never came. It's an interesting story but who ever has those dozer blades should know they are the only two blades in existence. They were made personally by CCM models for Mitch Mignano. Rest in peace muscle man! Your contributions, wealth of knowledge and friendship will be missed.
