I have the D575 dozer and the HD785-7 mine truck. Both operate and are ok to push/haul lightweight stuff around but certainly not intended to be hobby-grade models. Note they are infrared not radio controlled. Line-of-sight is required for operation. I got them because I work for a Komatsu dealer as a technical trainer and use them for promotional and fun purposes during classes. Mostly they are displayed in my office. If you intend to use them as a working model for hobby purposes, I'd say save your money. If they are for display and occasional fun use, they work great.

Watched the video on the 1/50 D11, and thought that was pretty cool. With the micro electronics these days, makes them possible I guess. I wish there where some more documented conversions out there. Quite interesting.

Hey Matt, Most of the conversion's that I have seen, are done with Bruder toys. Skidsteer loader's, wheeled and tracked, dozer's, excavator's and truck's. http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...ghlight=bruder
And they are on this site and the other site, that a few of us also belong to, http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44217 .
Search the forums for "Bruder conversion's'' and a lot of good info will show up. I don't know what scale you want to play with? Somebody has a video on youtube of a 1-50 O & K RH340, diacast model converted to RC,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z8kX...e_gdata_player There are a few member's converting 1/16 Ertle farm toy's to RC also. http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...t=farm+tractor
Hope this help's!

That RH340 is pretty cool! Anybody know for certain how big it is? Have one to set a 355ml pop can next too?

A front shovel would be nifty using one these diecasts if aint too small in stature?

If you get one with BE paint, please, please repaint it in cat colors. Who came up with purple and white? The swing speed on that RH340 is way too fast. It would fall over every time it came to stop if it swung that fast on the 1:1's.

The 850 wouldn't be hard to make into a face shovel. Just shrink down the dimensions on the 1200 face shovel to match the 850. You could even build a quick change boom to go between the face shovel and excavator fronts without tearing apart the model. http://www.oilquick.com/Boommounted.htm I think your gonna need a bigger haul truck.

"10" to boom top", I guess that's a bit small, even it is out of scale it still won't clear the side of my KH dump trk.

Thank you for link Neil.

Interesting idea hvy 1ton, but I'm not that much into a face shovel. I've watched that one on baggerkalle's yt channel & I'm not all that impressed with it's versatility or ability. It's fun too watch though.

Thanx for link.

I've got ideas for the Mammoth and a four or five trl roadtrain to keep the 850 busy... though it'll have wait till after I get my metal fab shop built this summer.

Hey Lil Giants, I see your point of view on the RH 340.
I have an RH 120 model, my favorite excavator/shovel.
If anybody know's what work's, I'm sure you do!
Glad to pass on link's for neat stuff!

For your road train, here's one http://www.ptrans.com.au/pdf/Pithauler.pdf Similiar trailer's to Sandcrafts. I like the truck's on steroid's.

That's a nifty side dump trl Neil, thanx for sharing.

I'm undecided yet if it'll be bottom dumps or side dumps.
