Wolfgang,

I seem to remember that this kind of beast-of-burden was used to pull the fuel loading tankers for the V2 rockets, didn't it? Looking at the text on that vintage pic w/ trailers, its the same beastie! Now you can have an awesome 'load' to tow!

Any plans for making a scale V2, and its carry-trailer (I know Revell made a 1/69 scale version of the rocket and trailer, had one ~years~ ago. Also make a 1/54 version.) Or you could go cheap/light, and scale up one of the paper kits http://www.currell.net/models/files_v2.htm

The trailer/erector the V2 was carried on was called a Meillerwagen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meillerwagen and I hope to make a close approximation for one of my pair of V2's... (have both the Imex styrene kit and Estes MaxiBrute one. ( PS: Anyone with a wood lathe willing to replicate 'em? )

Very impressive. Love your metal work. I have a request. Could you give us a few detailed photos of the pull trailer? I would like to build one similar to yours. I've never built one from scratch and would like to see photos of the dolly as well. Thank you so much.

Amazing! This is what hand crafted models are all about. You sure are talented in working with the metal. The cushion hitch is interesting.

Hello all,

thanks for compliments and interest for this model.

Yes, this tractor was used by the Luftwaffe during WW2 and also to pull artillery.

I have no photos taht shows the building of the trailer, but i will do that when i will build the second.

The frame is made in aluminum, the wheels and tyres are from Veroma. All other parts are selfmade. The pedestrian (thats correct? The part of pulling the trailer by the tractor) is made in brass.

By looking the photos, you can see how i have made the parts. Its only a low budget model and not perfect.

Best Regards

Hey Wolfgang, great job on the trailer! Another "Home Run"
"The pedestrian (thats correct? The part of pulling the trailer by the tractor) is made in brass." I think you are referring to the red arm's in the 3rd photo, In the U.S. we refer to them as "drawbar's" or "trailer tongue"
Cheer's, Neil.
