Motor in axle
Hi guys ideas wondering how everyone mounts there electric motors in the axle. I am building a adt and have some 12v motors I'd like to mount in axles. Either a tube set up or some other mounting point. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Motor in axle
Can advice using a tube setup. Best thing is to put a suitable tube in a lathe and machine the internal diameter close to the diameter of the motor/gearbox. I use 4 off set screws to keep the motors in position. Drill some holes in the motor/gearbox somewhere, not going through, where the set screws will 'dig in'. One have to select the points where set screws will hit the motor with care to not damage the motor cache

Re: Motor in axle
Search stein's posting about his Bruder 574 conversion, he shows a great example of it. I as well, in skeeters contracting services thread, am working on the same conversion. Both threads have pics, but he included more details & information with his post.

Re: Motor in axle
I would have included the links earlier, but was working from my phone then, & didn't have a lot of time to find the links. Now that I'm in front of my laptop, I had time to find them.
