Hey Joe
Any luck finding motors for your ADT ?
Question for you : if you get a chance, can you measure your tires on the Wa500. Are they 125 by 50 ?
Is the rim size 57 or 47mm

thx greg

Cheers Dan, that's only reason to make 'em rc'd.

Hello Greg,

I've spoke to Lars Stahl and he said he'd send me some... haven't seen or heard anything from him lately about anything in the mail yet. I hope to have it rolling late May/June... literally tonnes of dirt to haul out this summer!

The tire:
dia - 120mm
width - 45mm
exposed outer rim edge - 63
middle of outside dia of rim - about 53mm

Tire fits quite snuggly on the rim, a real test of your grip to wrestle the solid rubber tire onto the rim & almost impossible to get it off again! I've never had an issue of slippage between rim/tire.

Digging up the screener's holding pit, dumped alot of big lumps from the wall in here last Spring cause I was having troubles with the crusher at the time.

I'm running out room to pile! By the looks of the forecast, it's warming up this wk, FINALLY!!! it's been a long cold winter that started early November. Depending on the direction of the wind & how dry it is, I might finally be able to haul some out.

This pic was taken with me holding the camera.

And this one with the camera on the tripod... much clearer! Amazing what just a bit of shake ruins the quality.

And here's one of two movies.

Thanks for posting the photo's Joe, the video is great. I really enjoy watching you operate your equipment, it is very smooth and realistic. The Wa500 is a good looking wheel loader, the steering looks like a good speed you don't seem to have to stop and wait for it...
As far as old man winter, I was up to the ski hill today WOW ! 23 feet of snow, good ski day though. But that gives you an idea of how much rain we have seen in town this year... My feet hardly fit into my ski boots as I think they are growing into web feet...

Hey Joe, would a sheet of plywood, be an option for starting work sooner?
Wish I had some of these http://www.alturnamats.com/ Mud flap's are a little thick for scale use, LOL.

Cool pics & vids Joe. Thanks for posting more.

The Wa500's drive seems to have a LOT of torque. Does it have a motor/gru on each wheel? About how much does it weigh?

Yeah, I really like the 500 too Greg, a very well balanced loader... I'd never go back to the wdc... even it were a freebie!

It'd take alot plywood Neil. It'll dry soon enough. Roof asphalt shingles work pretty good for "matts" over soft, muddy ground.

Yes, a gru/motor at each wheel, the same as the adt in previous pics. I don't know the final rpm, but tonnes of torque though! I don't have a scale to weigh it, I'd guess it to be somewhere around 13-15lbs... it could do with more weight. I was eyeballing the tires from the 740 to put on there, hollow tires full of BB's.

Here's the other vid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeYuDTPAfjI

with today's hi-def vids, my camera vid quality isn't really cutting it anymore... and combine that with my satelite internet, these hi-def vids are making my connection speed like peddle internet again! This internet shyt is getting way too expensive & time consuming. EIGHT FREAKING HOURS to upload this last vid of 188mb!

I loaded the trks at 6am this morning so they were ready roll when the wind changed from sw to nw & the temp got a lil warmer...

... had to catch a ride to town 8am to pick up my JD4050 from the doctor, slide by the tire shop for two new rear treads and boggie home before the ground got too soft, but there's always a screwball in the plan! Got home 4.5hrs later, now it's too soft... maybe tomorrow.

Hey Joe, I'm happy with "NON HD" video, if it make's your life easier! I enjoy the video's either way.

Shingles? why didn't I think of that? I've hauled so many new one's to the landfill, from paying cleanup work, it's scarry.

Cheers Neil, Henry, Lou, compliments always much appreciated.

Lou, no confirmation from young Mr Stahl about anything being sent yet... and ofcourse these days is when the four major rc exhibitions are happening in Germany, as a vendor themselves it's likely they're busy showing their goods at each one, so I suppose it could be awhile yet even.

Here's another vid of the 1st four loads out for the new season of hauling dirt out of my basement. A few glitches, bloopers and discoveries that my equip doesn't work as well as did last fall when I parked it. The 5 stage telescope on the end dump blew a seal at the 2nd stage... have to figure out how to get that apart to repair. And nearly every tailgate latch wouldn't release...

Two Polk radios with four Polk rx's... the GL dump trk & KH/pup are fine when signal is cut from tx, but the other two glitch like crazy! The Polks will soon be replaced with Spektrum radio systems... too many glitch & signal loss problems with the Polk.

Nice vid Joe. That Komatsu loader is looking really nice. And with all the dust on it it seems so realistic. Is it better than the WDC one?
What is the sound in the background? Heater?
