Carl,

The main rails of the trailer are 1" channel "ripped" to width on my table saw and the cut isn't as clean as I had hoped (even with a brand new $60 specialty blade for aluminum). The more I look at the trailer the more I don't like the scale of the aluminum channel, the wall seems very heavy. I do have tons of time drilling and tapping all the crossmembers so it is hard to throw that away, maybe I'll come up with an idea to salvage the project, I have no deadline, I just have to feel good about my quality and not feel like I'm accepting mediocrity.
