Default Re: 1/14 Earth Mover 490 Hydraulic Semi End Dump

Oddly enough, it looks like the trailer is set up for a proper hoist cylinder, in front of the box. You can see the triangular gusset looking mounts underneath the rock guard, but then you see a rather whimpy little cylinder, mounted quite far back, between the axles! How is it going to get any leverage being so close to the hinges?

Not sure what to make of the cylinder and weight lifting specs. Cylinder force can be calculated by finding the surface area of a circle, then multipling that by the pressure pushing against it. 3.14 * the radius, squared * the hyrdaulic pressure. We don't know the cylinder size or pressure, but it still seems a little far fetched even if you guess at the specs.

The weight of the trailer is listed as 22 pounds. Not 221! The 1 is the l, in lbs. Shipping costs would be a steal for 221 lbs. Even though it's still expensive!

Looks like a Carson trailer.
