Excellent explanation of how the receiver works, thanks so much. I'll contact Futaba as you suggested to see if they will provide the shift gate. If I have no luck then perhaps I can mail the postage cost to you, or better send a self-addressed envelope with postage prepaid. Gotta love a global hobby!
