Default Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway

I had this old girl out today as well. When I built the truck I didn't know how long I should make the compensator hitch. It turns out that the length I chose wasn't enough so today I tried to fix it. I added a bit more to it but then had some binding issues as you will see in the video I am uploading. I took it all apart since and welded the added piece to the original so that there isn't a seem between the two. Should be good now but will have to wait until the paint dries. Apparently, heating aluminum to it's melting point burns paint... Who knew

This load is really heavy! The logs are large fir limbs with very tight grain. I would say that it is at least 100 pounds. I took the truck out into the field to pick them up and went as slow as I could coming back across the grass. It held together so I'm a happy guy! When I was done playing I hauled them right over to my wood shed!
