Default Scale ratchet straps

They DON'T ratchet, i lied. But they will secure loads wery well with a fair amount of force.

Small paperclip or 18g copper or brass wire
Ribbon 3/8" or smaller
CA or other glue
Solder (optional)

This 3/8" ribbon makes a 1/14 scale 5.6" strap, or 1/16 scale 6.4" strap.

Make 2 coathangar shapes that the ribbon just passes through with the hook bent 90 deg.
Make a very flat digital 8 shape
If you want stronger, kiss it with some solder.

Toast end of ribbon, then thread ribbon through coathangar, glue end, clamp for a few seconds.
Toast other end of ribbon, thread through outside of the 8, glue, clamp.

Grab other coathangar, toast ribbon and glue. Then go figure out what length it needs to be, add a couple inches, trim and toast.

This way works, but not as well an the explination and pic after it.

Point both hooks down, thread ribbon below the 8, and up past center, come back below the leg near the hook. You may have to arch the 8 more to get the grip correct.

Pull the free end to tighten, raise the buckle to loosen.

Now, go lash something down
