you got a rock problem Craig? not to worry, I got a dump truck to take care of that!
Glad you like it. I'm hoping to get more done on it soon!

cant work in my space right now. new furnace installed yesterday, now have to complete studding walls, wiring, insulate and vapour barrier so everything is kinda clumped together in the middle.

So on a different note I wanted to share pics of what I do when im not home working on RC stuff.......

this is a rear frame section of a underground scoop after complete tear down and stripped to bare bones. it gets sandblasted , welding repairs, machining, painted. Same happens with front frame.

then the reassembly begins...

and a few of a dozer from the steel plant coal yard, in for a new engine, torq and tranny.

thanks for looking.

When all goes well the machine is stripped in a week. Complete job takes about 8 weeks start to finish and complete certified rebuild, with new serial number and full warranty. Costs around 400K.

Machines are done and have all decals on them and bucket installed. I'll get some pics of them and post next week.

Well then here's a few more for you

A brand new 349E. its been awhile since I've worked on excavators and this new one is a real nice machine.

The D9 is gone. Now a 990 loader in for a torq and tranny job. I figured Steve ( IHbuilder ) would like these pics and yes, seems like wherever I go theres a 990 in the neighbourhood!

The tranny and torq out on the floor.

Thanks for looking. More RC posts in the future. posting pics of work is like invading my play time!

Small update on the dump truck. Finally got a chance to try a few ideas with how to arrange everything inside.

I'm just wondering if having the receiver close to the speaker magnet is going to be an issue?? otherwise, so far so good. Next is a mount for the servonaut sound board.

thanks for looking and all comments.

Kinda reminds me of my S10 pickup...except there the subwoofers point into the cab from the box, not into the box from the cab. My guess is that it will sound a lot different with the box up or down but it should work!

Thanks Dwayne. I know what you mean but some of those job sites really push for production and ya have to save time anywhere you can!

Thanks big john. The blue is still the original colour from when I bought the truck. Once everything else is done I'm thinking black with some silver accents of vice versa.

So the truck is really coming to life now! It's been a great weekend of RC work ( about time as Reg said )

My first non MFU type sound unit. I first purchased way back when with plans to install in my loader but after getting tired of trying to make it fit I think it works fine in the truck. I like the fact that I can rev the engine while raising the box.

Check it out!

Nice video. What sound unit are you using? And is it a simple hook up? Thanx.

The sound unit is the Servonaut SMT. It's the cheaper sound module that Servonaut offers. Has no turbo sound but I'm ok with that. Once a few forum members helped me out with the German translation the unit is very easy to install. All plug n play.

Thanks again for the link Dunga. Myself and a fellow forum member Flatdeck ( Wayne) placed an order for two and shipping was quite reasonable

Here's a video showing the light module I'm installing in the Dump truck.
