Default Re: help with things to look for in a quality radio

It all depends on what you want channel wise. I only use 4 channels.

1 speed control
2 steering
3 transmission shifting ( 3 position switch )
4 dump bed ( 3 position switch )

Some radios have 3 position switches other just a toggle on / off.
Some can allow for servo end point set points.

What you need to tell us is what do you plan to do with your trucks regarding the servos that will be used and what they are used for. If you want to control a 5th wheel lock a simple on off channel will work. If you want to control a diff lock you need another channel.

The mfu systems can take care of all your light and sound functions. You just need to figure how many channels you plan to use and someone can suggest a radio.
