I can highly recommend Autodesk Fusion 360. I've worked with it for about a year now, and it doesn't stop to surprise we with even more features or smarts ways to work with models.
It's completely free for non-commercial use. It also has animation, physical simulation, photo-realistic rendering and CNC CAM and 3D-printer export built in. - http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview Best regards, Stein :-)
