yes the red positive is common to all the lights and the negative is the switch wire to turn the lights on and off

I commoned all the red wires nearer the lights and then joined the brake lights together and ran that feed down the chassis, I did this for all the lights on the truck so that you have one single commoned red and one negagtive switch wire for each pair of rear lights except the indicators (turn signal), did the front lights in the same way apart from the verkerk lights which have to be wired up according to their instructions
