The ESC needs 2 channels, there is a blue and a white/transperant plugg. One usually hook the up to the 2 channels on the left hand stick. This ESC has 'cruise control', so it don't quite react at first as one expect from a standard ESC. Throttle stick pulled all the way back, left/right to switch between forward/reverse. But it all should be explained in the manuel. You might also find some instructions on youtube. Very popular in Europe.
