Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
I have a strong memory of thanking you for thanking you for the tip about filing curved edges, and complimenting the very nice clean cutouts on the motor panel, but I can't see any evidence that I actually did. I guess I'm browsing forums in my dreams. Either way, good job on everything! Nice paint job too!

Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
Thank you all and Wombii, you did thank me and you always welcome! A little miss hap, while testing the turn lights, the bus started to run full speed, flew off the dining room table and crash landed on the floor. At first,I wanted just throw it in the garbage...,but my wife stopped me,saying: you can fix it,just leave it for today. She was right, two days later back on the bench, gluing, putty, priming and paint. Still lots to do. I don't understand how the **** it happened.? I always follow same routine, radio on first, model second. It just went full speed... my throttle is spring centered, so its in neutral, unless you push it.

Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
That sucks! I'm glad Mrs kaptain jack was there to intervene. I like to set my 2wd stuff on a block of wood when doing testing, if i don't something always falls onto the tx, or dog knocks tx over...
Quick, grab a scale car or truck and make it look like it was a car crash.

Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
Good job Kaptain Jack.
Severe crash........you should buy a lotto ticket....... Sounds like there is a Spektrum Transmitter involved.......or ? |

Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
Hi,
nice job, you fixed it, always listen to your wife... Please check the failsafe configuration of your receiver. If it's a Transmitter mafe for planes, the failsafe is not the middle, it's the lowest position. If you connected the ESC in reverse to the motor, the fail safe will result a full speed forward. You must ensure that the failsafe is configured on the center.

Re: Let the build begin. Coach bus.
Thank you guys, I'm using a four channel TACTIC radio and except this one incident, it behaved well. Checked the functions after the crash and ran the chassis around the house, all seems to work fine.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what type of esc are you using. I use a 6ch Tactic but with Castle Creation esc, that will not arm until the stick is fully stationary.
