It sits low when it is driving down the road, but not that low. Rod has air ride all the way around the truck and trailer including the steer, when he parks the truck he hits a switch and the whole thing goes to the ground.

He and his dad also designed a special valve for the air ride, so that if you flip the switch one way it dumps the air and if you flip it the other way then it adds more air thus raising the truck. When Rod first put this truck to work back in '99 he had a car trailer that he pulled cars out of the auction in seattle and portland with. He had to do something because he could not get the truck into the auctions parking lot. or any other normal over the sidewalk type driveway.

The race trailer you see in this video is actually their second trailer. They just finished it this last summer, the trailer was one of Don Purdon's.

And just to make it perfectly clear, I have heard several people refer to this truck as "The Pickett Brothers truck" this is Rod Picketts truck. Kevin only helped build it along with their Dad Dale, and several of their close friends.

Once a year this truck gets torn down and all the chrome stuff goes back in to be re-chromed.
