I´m using the same method on different trailers. Works very well. By choosing different springs u can adjust to the loading weight.

I do have a question, where did you get the wheels?

The ones on the truck are from seitz modellbau. The ones on the trailer are Wedico stock on veroma-rims. Both sold by Fechtner-modellbau over here.
