yes It depends on what you are use to , me I'd go cat (sae), what I grew up on right stick up/down for boom side to side bucket left stick up/down dipper(crowd ) side to side swing . as for deer John I could not remember until I get on 1 again ( no thanks unless I can switch it ) if you never ran one before , then It's up to you . Try both , see which feels comfortable .
As for the pics when you are in PB Highlight the IMG code . pull down out of the tool bar under edit and select copy . then minimize PB and select paste in the edit menu in your post. you have to have both sites open to do this . I apologize if you already know this . also try not to move your photos around in PB Can't wait to see your excavator running
