May I ask why you are going for an axial piston motor and not radial?

Axial machines typically have considerably higher RPMs than radial ones for a given power and hence lower torque on the shaft - are you using a gear between motor and chain wheel?

Yeah I'm using a reduction gear box like in the real final drive.

Just a little update:
The axial piston motor now has one piston.

It does look wonky but that's because it's right on the end of it.

Rebekah , you are a genius . I've been trying to figure out how to do the ball on the end of the piston . Thats a great idea
