JDH:

Want a source for some finer perf-metal? Look inside the door of any sh*tcanned microwave oven. Thats the only place I could find the really fine stuff. And I'm sure its steel, not aluminum (would be easier to cut if it was aluminum!)

I've got about 4 sheets of it, awaiting a chance/opportunity to cut it in strips, and have the edges bent up-&-down on either side so that they can be used as sand/traction-ramps. Three pieces would make quite a few... depending on which way they were cut.

And the build looks really great... only thing holding me back from a loader like this (or a Volvo articulated dumper) is my fear of hydraulics. Oh, and saving enough. Then again, the same savings could get me one of Peter Muller's Faun SLT2-50's 8x8 w/ heavy-transport trailer.
