love your models. I am building dozer my self using a lot of your great ideas. can you explain how you have your wiring system wired up. how do you have the 18 and 12 volt batteries hooked up to receiver with a 6v rx battery. can you have more than one speed control going into the receiver suppling it power?

I will try to explain,

Max power to the RX is 6 volts
Sabertooth speed control can take 12 / 18 volts : ( to RX )
Hyd pump 12 volts : ( can be turned on/off with a servo or speed control )

I guess what I was wondering is can you plug two speed controls into one receiver when speed control has a batterie hooked to it. Does it not bring power to the receiver from each speed control?

Thanks for the comments on the D8R guys. BIG DAY TODAY ! Finally had some heat and sun to go out in the back yard and do some work. Started off building road to areas where there were weeds to remove, hope to haul them out soon...

Jordy the D8R has been trucked up North for some summer work. I hope to see some video's of it working soon as well..

Thanks for the comments, it's a good time working in the garden, hope the weather warms up soon so I can get back out there. Had another SNOW shower go through yesterday... Its April, I am ready for some warm weather...
I use Sabertooth speed controls, there is a few tricks with them but generally they work well..

Hey Greg, Nice job on the D8. I'm curious, how thick are the side plate's on the main frame. I'm trying to decide if 1/8'' aluminum is thick enough? Working on resurecting my
1-7.5 Cat D4H project. I like your choice of drive motor's, I think I'll try some.

Thanks Neil I was very happy with the results of the D8R. I use 3/16 or 1/4 on the side frames as that is the main structure to the whole model, also it is nice to be able to counter sink your bolts on the side's of the machine as that is the angle that is in view the most..
