Chicken Lights
Are you guys using 2mm or 3mm LEDs for your Chicken Lights on your tractor and trailer? Have any of you used a flat LED or are domed ones the only way to go?
Thanks, Chris |

Re: Chicken Lights
I use 3mm running lights (chicken lights) domed water clear style, in the color you want. 5mm would look funny on the side I think. Use 5mm for tail and headlight, etc... You could use flat but harder to make whole, easier to just drill the right size whole and glue in. A square whole would be a pain to do. Hope this helps!

Re: Chicken Lights
You can get 3mm flat top led's and black bezels for them from Lighthouse
The Bezel is small enough to look good on the bumpers, and at 7 cents each not a bad price, they have the 5mm ones also. If you use the Tamiya lens paint, clear orange or clear red to dip the leds in does not degrade their brightness and yet looks like red or orange lights. JimN |
