61" Pete still working
This Guy was parked near me at a truck stop last night. He was still there this morning so I grabbed a few pics after we chatted. It is a 1961 pete with a N14 cummins riding on hendrickson air ride and a international front axel. he has had it since new and said it has had many drive train upgrades thru the years.
started with a Super 250, 335, now a N14. obviosly a cummins Diesel fan .. 5x4,18 speed, it Was a pleasure talking to him today. |

Re: 61" Pete still working
Wow that's a bad *** find. Good for that man. Makes you wonder how much that truck has made that man over the 52 years he's ran it. Amazing. I would love to do that one day with an old needle nose Pete and restore it with a modern drivetrain.

Re: 61" Pete still working
Yea he said he has seen it all in that truck. he is from Arkansas and been trucking for years. Just last week some illegal immigrant trucker rear ended his drop deck load and pushed it into the back of his sleeper wall denting it badly. his wood blocks fell of the front of the trailer and wedged into the tires taring off his half fenders.
He goes to all the ATHS shows with it and it draws a crowd. |
