intake hose covers
made a set of these yesterday for zeus out of aluminum ,still need a bit of tweaking but i got it figured out .thats the beauty of doing some things by hand ,its very easy to mess up and just as easy to correct..oh and disregard the dust on Zeus..yes i know ...can we say truck wash..lol

Re: intake hose covers
Great idea Dwayne! 2 questions.... How did you attach to the body and did you happen to make an extra set?

Re: intake hose covers
That's a great idea you have there! With a little tooling you could press those out very easily.

Re: intake hose covers
"well not sure about that i do everything by hand by first making a paper template then i fine tune the template and cut out the aluminum using the template which is why it takes me abit but i prefer that method because it usually comes out the way i hope it to look .my bug deflectors on "CHAOS" and "ZEUS" were done the same way"
I hope you didn't take me the wrong way. I build the same way you do starting with paper templates and then transferring to metal. I was just thinking that if you wanted to mass produce them, you could make tooling that would stamp them out in a jiffy! |
