Re: 1:87 rc
Wow that's tiny! I'm amazed they can make that work. Very impressive! I love that in most scenes they have a beer with them too. I wish I understood what they were saying. Thanks for sharing.

Re: 1:87 rc
That's insane. I have my hands full building what I think are smaller models, and these guys take it to a whole different level. Very cool and impressive.

Re: 1:87 rc
I was doing 1:87 trucks back in 2004. Had a wheel loader but didn't get very far with motorizing everything. Need watch-making skills to get that stuff right!

Re: 1:87 rc
The Germans were offering motorized HO scale cars and trucks before 2000, that were battery operated and ran on a roadway with a wire embedded into it. The wire attracted a magnetic steering lever that guided the vehicle along the roadway. I suppose the next logical step was to add a receiver, throttle, and independent steering control.

Re: 1:87 rc
I was kind of skipping through the video, I didn't get a perspective until the samba van running around the coin, but when the guy picked it up and I saw it wasn't much bigger than his thumb nail, thats when I fell off my chair!

Re: 1:87 rc
An ex work colleague has an N scale trainset inside a small briefcase, I forget the brand, starts with M I think and is expensive and impressive, but the radio controlled construction equipment you posted... that is a completely different kettle of fish, well maybe not so much electronically, but to an RC guy like me it just blew me away
Want.... Imagine how much fun indoors we would have with N scale Pete's, Kennies, Fshakers, Macks etc on the dinning room table on rainy days! Haha I could have a whole town setup just in the space it takes me to build a 1/14 rig!

Re: 1:87 rc
Probably a Micro Trains N scale (1:160) set.
Could it of been Z scale (1:220)? AZL http://www.americanzline.com/ has really boosted the popularity of Z scale with all that they offer. |
