Do you watch Daily Planet much? There's all kinds of things being 3D printed nowadays... did you see the car that was featured recently?

I saw a post on a machining forum about the car but I never got to read it yet . It's not a deal breaker for me either way . And if it where to break on me , I'll just make another .

People seem to have this misconception of 3d printed "plastic" as being a weak or inferior material.... when there are people out there making items that are extremely durable and long lasting.... I myself have proven time and time again that you can take a design and make it extremely durable. Granted, yes a piece of plastic will never be as strong as a piece of metal (steel) in this case, but for I would say 90% of what we do, it is possible to make something strong enough to take the abuse of what we require for these machines..... I obviously wouldnt make a bucket out of plastic over metal, but I would consider an arm (well printed with cross hatched fill) or even the quick release coupler, etc... I think you will be just fine...
