my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
I am going to try my best to make this trailer look as close as I can.
This is what I am going for! This is where I'm at so far. I still have a bunch of work to do like a tarp, ladders, chutes, rounded front end,and so on.

Re: my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
Nice work Troy. What are you planning on using for a tarp?
How about the bellies? Lets see an inside picture. -Mike

Re: my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
It's great to see something new and different being built. The grain trailers are common in the midwest, but not to many being built in the scale trucking world. Your's looks great so far! Looking forward to it being completed.
Like Brian, I think I remember seeing that Texas flag painted truck posted here by another member. Was a sweet looking truck!

Re: my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
Mike I dont know what I'm using for a tarp yet,and the floor still needs to be cut out and chutes installed, and a bunch of other stuff.
This was a box trailer that I got tired of looking at and decided to butcher it. Nathan and Brian, this Texas flag truck was purchased from Dallas. I have changed alot of details like a grill, steps, tanks, pipes, and got rid of that canadian 72" rear axle spacing. Thanks for the comments guys!

Re: my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
Thanks again for the comments guys!
I wasn't going to show any pics before it was done, but I was bored and thought what the heck! I think we like to hear comments to drive us to put in more detail and thought into our builds.

Re: my attempt at a Timpte super hopper
Looks real good the best one I have seen yet NICE WORK.. My tarps on my 2 trailers are made from the Ironing Board material it is thin and strong and has that little bit of shin like a real tarp does..

Paul that is what I would suggest to use. You can buy a table cloths like that as well. They are a thin vinyl with a nit backing. The vinyl would almost be scale and the backing will make it sturdy. -Mike

Nice work! Looking forward to more pics...
It looks like it's frameless? You didn't use the box trailer frame?
