Default Helpful information about threads.

I found this information on the web during my search for TPI information on the small scale bolts I got from RC4WD for my upcoming dozer project. It makes it so simple to understand (for me anyhow) so I thought I'd share it here. For some people it's going to be boiler-plate basic, for me I can now understand any thread info.

Maybe mods may consider the info worthy of a sticky. So here it is:

10 threads per inch is a 1/10 inch pitch, which means one rotation takes you 1/10 inches.

So simple.

Please rephrase that statement to say 10 turns moves you one inch. Which is designated most often as (10 tpi )
