Re: 966 update
As for the motor; could I use this motor/gearbox?
https://www.pololu.com/product/73 And if that one would be alright (enough torque, big enough motor, too many/little rpms, correct voltage, etc…) what kind of esc should I use, or could I just use any? And it says something on there about stalling causing overheating so that makes me wary. |

Re: 966 update
Basically I am running 4 of these in my Bruder loader and compactor. https://www.pololu.com/product/1586 I buy them from eBay though because it is much cheaper. If you want more power you could go with the high output version with a slightly lower ratio. https://www.pololu.com/product/1577 The last ones are powerful enough to destroy their own gearboxes if locked up on 7.2v. I like the less powerful ones for this because they will stall without breakage and that also helps with steering.

Um…does the voltage of the battery=the voltage of the motor ideally? Like if I have a 12v motor I need a 12v battery? And if I have more than one 12v motor, do I have to get a bigger battery? And how do 4 motors connect to one esc? Sorry for all the annoying questions, I've watched many tutorials on the basics of motors and rc and stuff, but I didn't understand them. Thanks guys (: |

And the wire for wiring the motor to the esc is just regular copper wire (maybe stereo wire) from the hardware store? Does it have to be a specific gauge? Thanks guys. |
