Re: Just Another Peterbilt......Half Breed.
Okay, I feel a little dumb, I traded out the mounting screws with some button heads. held the screw head with my fingertip and spun the headlights until they tighten down on the screw. No tools needed in that space.

Re: Just Another Peterbilt......Half Breed.
Well, kind of. Parts on the way, will see when they get here. The AWD adapter and the black hubs I have do not go together.
Thank you very much! That one was a challenge. |

Re: Just Another Peterbilt......Half Breed.
Still unsure if I'm going to be using a Tamiya, Shapeways or Wedico cab I have not bought any of them yet. I was trying to do some test fitting without out a cab which makes no sense at all but anyways... I moved my front axle one mounting hole in the spring pack and set the hood over the wheels. I mounted a stock Tamiya floorboard in the stock location. The hood is up against the floorboard and the grille is just slightly in front of the bumper mount. Can anybody tell me when you cut the hood of a King Hauler cab is the cut and the floorboard flush with each other or does the cab stick out past the floorboard?
I have been trying to use stock bolt hols and not do anymore drilling than necessary, (trying to keep things clean and simple) but looks like stock hole are probably not going to work. Last edited by Claus; 08-02-2016 at 04:03 PM. |

Re: Just Another Peterbilt......Half Breed.
I know when a friend cut my knight daycab the cab / hood the floor pan was a bout 5-10ish mils inside the cab and the normal bottom mount screw holes were removed fron the front of the wind sheild,
And I just made some rectangle ish peices rounds on the front so the hood doesn move side ways when closed.... Hope these pics can help even though its a knight hauler https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.n...b2b940a23028ba https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...52&oe=5821D43A https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ff&oe=58575151 Cheers Tracy
