Quick reference - RC actuators
Your site is not very good on mobile. Pdf is bad when pictures or text can be used easier.
L12 data sheet https://s3.amazonaws.com/actuonix/Ac...+Datasheet.pdf They have RC versions L12-R in 30 50 100 mm strokes. Add 52mm for the motor and control section. 30mm ranges mount hole lengths from 82 to 112mm 50mm ranges length from 102 to 152mm 100mm ranges length from 152 to 252 mm They're available in gear ratios of 50:1, 100:1, 210:1 *** all info is as best i could find. i have no affilliation with them. i'm just trying to learn what i want to order** |

As for the PDFs, can you explain what you mean by "pdf is bad"? As far as I'm aware, we've always used pdfs for our data sheets but we're always willing to hear suggestions! |

Re: Quick reference - RC actuators
It's a little confusing unfortunately.
There are 2 different companies, Firgelli Technologies and Firgelli Automations. The partnership that owned this business is no longer and they split. Firgelli Technologies has changed our name to Actuonix Motion Devices and Firgelli Automations still exists under that name. |

Re: Quick reference - RC actuators
Yes round is much better, there is a gentleman on here working on round ones and once perfected said he would share the DIY plans, I'd rather buy them made than build them but if that's what it takes to get round ones then so be it.

Re: Quick reference - RC actuators
Pdf usually works great and displays everything exactly as you wanted it, the whole industry uses it for spec sheets. The problem is a lot of browsers and mobile stuff loves to force pdf to be downloaded before opening, or simply will not open ever. I'm glad it's available, but I think we shouldn't have to download stuff to decide what size parts we need to order to put on our toy trucks.
I'm just trying to put up a plain text quick reference to help you take our money. Maybe convert the numbers out of metric. Maybe i'll even try to find some videos showing the gear ratio speeds. I've been stuck at 'I need one of those' for a while, but hadn't ordered yet because your product is very versitile. Thank you and your people for making them! |

Re: Quick reference - RC actuators
I've passsed this up the line. We threw around a few ideas. It's a tough ask as the RC construction market is important to us, but it's just not large enough to develop and manufacture a new product.
One of our guys suggested we manufacture a tube to fit over the square shaft of the L12 and/or L16 actuators to reproduce the look of a hydraulic cylinder. Is that something that you think could work? If so, would you want it to cover just the aluminum shaft or the plastic motor/gear housing as well? If it covered the motor and gear housing, it would be quite large and potentially look awkward. We're putting together a mockup of how it would look. I will send it along soon. |

Re: Quick reference - RC actuators
I created a new thread and uploaded an image of what a cylindrical casing on our L12, L16 or P16 actuators would look like.
Check it out and let me know what you think. |
