yes mild steel, 1/8",,i think it was 12l14. easy to bend but not good for welding, so I soldered it together.

Wow man!!! I have not been on in a while due to connectivity issues and the fact that I got super pi**ed off trying to make hydraulic cylinders a few months ago. My old lathe loves to cut a taper when I don't want it to....... Loader is turning out amazing! I feel guilty about my Tormach setting idle so i'm ready to get back in the saddle! I also may or may have not just sent a deposit to Fumotec......What tool are you using to get the "diamond" type pattern on the base of the cab? some type of engraving tool I guess? And what is the smallest endmill you have ran in the 1100? The detail work and lack of fasteners have made for a stunning model!
